I use Nexus Notes as skeletons for my own notes. This method is far easier than working off textbooks and really helps me with my law exams which aren't getting any easier.

I have used Nexus Notes since the site launched and I’m now achieving way more Ds and HDs instead of Ps.

About these notes

These notes include important vocabularies such as eras, specific events, important figures, or pieces of legislation vital to your success in AP US History regarding the time period 1824-1900. Some professors may call these “Identifies”. Each term includes two bullet points: definition and historical significance. Additionally, the terms are followed by a 3-letter code in parenthesis. Organized by theme, the key for the code goes as follows.

-(NAT) American and National Identity
-(WXT) Work, exchange, and technology
-(MIG) Migration and Settlement
-(POL) Politics and Power
-(WOR) America in the World
-(GEO) Geography and the Environment
-(CUL) Culture and Society

Reading these definitions and contextualizing the terms with their historical significance greatly helps in preparing for the AP US History exam. The definitions I collected were my main source of study for the exam. I was abe to score a 4 on the AP exam and an A in the class.
